Residents of Mother Redcaps Care Home have had an eventful summer this year with multiple day trips, fun in-house activities and fun-filled evenings with musicians and entertainers. Our Activity Coordinators and staff team try to cater for all our residents, taking in to account their hobbies, likes and dislikes. This ensures we are able to deliver a person centred activity programme to all.
A number of residents thoroughly enjoyed making bird feeders for our feathered friends. They are now hung in the garden area so those who are keen bird watchers can sit in the lounge and past the time watching the birds enjoy their handmade crafts.
Many of our residents enjoy a walk in the sunshine and Mother Redcaps is perfectly located on the Mersey promenade. So when the sun is shining the residents are able to have a leisurely walk and a pit stop for an ice cream whilst watching the ships pass them by.
Earlier in the summer we held our annual summer fayre, which included numerous stalls and activities for the residents and local community to enjoy. The home were lucky enough to raise over £300 for the residents funds!
